Modern science has given cure for number of diseases but still some diseases like AIDS are still not curable. In spite of the development in science doctors still have do not have any cure for AIDS. There is still no cure for this disease but there are ways in which the pain of the patients suffering from AIDS can be managed and be reduced. The major source for spreading of this disease is unprotected sex. People indulging in unprotected sex with different partners are mainly affected by HIV+ virus.

Sex is the main source through which HIV+ virus is transmitted form one person to another. Unawareness about the disease is major cause of concern for the doctors as awareness about this disease is the most important preventive measure that a person can take against in order to protect himself against AIDS. Many people especially in the developing countries suffer from HIV+ positive virus. AIDS even in today’s broad minded society is considered as a taboo and any person suffering form this disease is considered as an outcast and can be ill-treated by general society. First and foremost mindset of the society towards HIV affected people has to change so that even people with AIDS can live an ordinary life. Every day large number of people in the world are dying due to the deadly virus of HIV+. Third world countries in Africa have registered a number of cases where people have died because of AIDS. Use of condoms is the best way in which AIDS can be prevented. Practicing safe sex, committed to a single life partner are also ways in which AIDS can be prevented. Lack of fear about the pain that an AIDS patient has to suffer is the major reason which refrain an individual from practicing safe sex.

Several research made by doctors clearly suggest that above suggested ways reduce the risk of AIDS to a large extent. There are number of cases where it has been seen that the virus of HIV is passed on from parents to their children and the innocent child has to bear the pain which he does not deserve. The general public attitude towards AIDS affected people is not of apathy and affection but of disgust. This kind of attitude needs to be changed as only then can we all together fight against this dreadful disease.

Normally people feel shy and ashamed when to hear anything related to AIDS but one should understand that openly talking and discussing about AIDS is the only way in which one can prevent one self from being affected by it. One should feel free to discuss with his doctor any kind query related to AIDS. Awareness has to be created among that those people affected by AIDS are not an outcast but normal beings just like us. They should be not be treated by disgust but should be given the respect which they deserve in the society. It is always believed that “Prevention is better than cure”, hence one should adopt a preventive approach in order to prevent himself from AIDS.
